WHAT IS UP?! :) I just wanted to check in with you guys & let you know what’s been going on in my world…
I’m sure I’m not alone when I say, sometimes we can get stuck or get so comfortable, and dare I say it: Lazy. Lol! But praise God for every situation – for we can always learn something. Let me just say, for me, it’s important to find new inspiration and be in places where I can learn new things. Sometimes it’s not enough to go through the same routine or talk to the same people every day. So I was really looking forward to the music conference this past weekend.
I attended the IMC (International Music Conference) for the first time here in ATL! I met some great people, saw some hott performances, and took lots of good notes during the panel discussions. Just to name a few, I learned more in depth about the importance of live shows, the business side of the music industry, & why it’s necessary to build strong relationships.
I also worked with some new people & recorded a hot song over the weekend. (It’s got so much attitude guys – I love it!) I’m also still writing myself, and just finished another song yesterday!
So things are going well guys. I just wanted to share my experiences with you all because it really helped motivate me & made me reevaluate things in my life. It’s important to get something out of every experience – and once you’ve learned what that is, it’s on YOU to then APPLY it! So I hope to encourage someone else to do the same. 🙂 I love researching new things, jotting down motivational quotes/scriptures, visiting new places, and venting to loved ones when need be! Lol so whatever it is, just do it.
If at some point you find yourself down, not motivated to do more – GET UP! PRAY, read a new article, connect with positive people, invest some time in a hobby you have been putting off to the side. REFLECT. Renew your mind daily. Be thankful. Challenge yourself. Try new things. Perfect what you already do best! Don’t be scared to ask for help. Help others. Smile. Laugh hard. And remember, someone is always watching you. Be GREAT 🙂
